GLOW PATCH NOTES
What's new
- A Tools tab has been added to Glow's top menu. This tab contains useful tools.
- Added SFC and DISM Automation Tool to the Tools tab. This tool automatically performs SFC and DISM operations. You can also access this section with the CTRL + Q shortcut.
- Added Cache Cleaning Tool to the Tools tab. This tool allows you to automatically clean Temp and %temp% directories. You can also access this section with the CTRL + W shortcut.
- Added System Last Shutdown Time feature to the Operating System section. This feature shows the last time you shut down the system.
- Added Total Blue Screen Count feature to the Operating System section. This feature shows the number of blue screens you have encountered. Additionally, there is a button that, when clicked, takes you to the folder where blue screen errors are stored. This button activates only if blue screen errors exist.
- Added TPM Physical Presence Version feature to the Motherboard section. This feature shows the physical version of the TPM chip.
- Added TPM Manufacturer feature to the Motherboard section. This feature shows the manufacturer of the TPM chip.
- Added TPM Manufacturer ID feature to the Motherboard section. This feature shows the unique ID of the TPM chip manufacturer.
- Added TPM Manufacturer Version feature to the Motherboard section. This feature shows the version assigned to the chip by the TPM chip manufacturer.
- Added TPM Full Manufacturer Version feature to the Motherboard section. This feature shows the full version assigned to the chip by the TPM chip manufacturer.
- Added TPM Manufacturer Publisher feature to the Motherboard section. This feature shows which company published the TPM chip.
- Added Secondary Bus Type feature to the Motherboard section. This feature shows the name of the secondary bus of the motherboard.
- Added Processor Thread Count feature to the Processor section. This feature shows how many different threads the processor is currently handling. It is a dynamic feature.
- Added Battery Report Generation feature to the Battery section. This feature performs the same function as 'powercfg /batteryreport' from CMD, but in an automated manner.
- Improved the HTML export feature within the Export Information feature. The HTML file now displays Glow's logo in the tab icon.
Fixed Bugs
- Fixed an issue causing repeated reading of data in sections with multiple hardware support (e.g., RAM).
- Fixed UI issues causing features to become stuck in some sections.
Changes
- Revised Turkish and English language files.
- Made some function changes and adjustments for better performance of Glow.

What's new
- Glow's language folder has been renamed. Now the language files are kept in the g_langs folder instead of the langs folder. This was due to conflicts caused by all software developed by me using the same folder name.
- Glow's interface now resizes itself for higher DPI levels. This means that the interface overlays are fully responsive to Glow's size.
- Glow now offers a seamless experience when resizing up to 200% DPI.
- Glow's graphics engine has been updated. It now delivers Ultra HD text and visual quality up to 16K resolution displays.
- Glow's interface has been accelerated. All interface sections now run at high performance.
- The BIOS Mode feature in the Motherboard section has been reprogrammed. It now shows 99% correct results.
- The Installed Driver/Service Count design in the Installed Drivers and Installed Services section has been revamped. It now prints underneath instead of side by side. In this way, it has gained a modern look.
Fixed Bugs
- Fixed minor DPI bugs in Windows 10 versions 21H2 and 22H2.
- Fixed a bug where the header sometimes flickered on Windows 11 systems.
- Fixed a bug that caused Glow to send the wrong query to Windows during Double Buffering.
- Fixed a bug where some interface sections would not fit on the screen at different DPI levels.
- The error that caused the Slot names of the RAM section in the information exported with the Export Information feature to print incorrectly has been fixed.
- Fixed a bug that caused the storage partition to leak memory when reading disk information.
- Fixed a bug where the primary value was lost at different DPI and resolution values of the battery compartment's container.
- Fixed a bug where the height of the button to clear the search box in Installed Drivers / Installed Services did not change at different DPI levels.
- The sizing error that caused the table in the Installed Drivers / Installed Services section to not fit on the screen at high DPI levels has been fixed.
- Nearly 20 minor bugs and interface fixes were made.
Changes
- Glow no longer needs kernel32.dll to read BIOS Mode. Of course it still uses kernel32.dll for other operations.
- Glow's page logo in the top menu has been reduced in size.
- Glow's interface has been centered with the top menu and left menu, resulting in a smoother interface design.
- Turkish and English language files have been edited.
What's new
- A setting called Hiding Mode has been added to Glow settings. This setting allows you to hide private information such as email, serial number, device ID, etc. When Hiding Mode is on, the Export Information feature also exports the hidden features as private.
- Glow's setting saving algorithm has been revamped. Instead of making different containers for each different setting, all settings are now kept in the same container.
Fixed Bugs
- Fixed a bug where the width of the container in the Network section was incorrect.

- Shortcut key layout has been changed. Shortcut keys now continue from F1 to F12.

Fixed Bugs
- Fixed a bug that prevented the top menu from being centered.
- Fixed a bug where some tools could change the language of the program but not the language of the program.
- Fixed a bug where the bottom margin of all tabs in Glow was inconsistent.
- Fixed a bug that caused an unused Font to be called in Glow.
- Fixed a major UI bug that caused all text in Glow to scroll. It now appears perfectly aligned.
- Fixed a bug in Windows 11 where the Export Information feature sometimes bugged.
Changes
- Windows 8.1 support has been removed. To make Glow better, we are ending support for older generation operating systems. Glow will continue to work on Windows 8.1 and below. However, we will not offer support.
- BIOS Major-Minor Version and SM-BIOS Major-Minor version features in the motherboard section have been moved to a separate container.
- IPv4 Address and IPv6 Address in the Network section were moved to a separate container.
- Changes were made in the translation of some languages.

- The support page has been removed.
What's new
- TPM Audit Tool has been added in Tools. This is a dynamic tool to showcase the best TPM features ever.
- File Cleanup Tool has been added in Tools. This tool has the ability to dynamically show and clean Windows Update, junk system files and junk user files.
- As of Glow v1.67, it now requires administrator permission. This was a prior decision to add some features and make it more stable.
- Hungarian language support added.

- Ping Test Tool was developed. It now shows IP addresses next to the addresses with Domain. In addition, when the selected address is double clicked, the function of copying to the clipboard has been added.
- A dynamic inspection feature has been added to all Tools. It now alerts you when you minimize or background a tool and when you want to open it again. It doesn't just alert you, it brings the tool to the foreground.
